Concert in the Territory

From music festivals and sporting events to amazing art installations and cultural festivals, you'll never be bored in The Territory.

Darwin is host to a wide range of incredible, world-class and unique events. Territory Day celebrates self-government and everything people love about living in the Territory – the lifestyle, people, landscape, culture and achievements.

Music and culture lovers can revel in the excitement of the annual Darwin Festival offering musical, comedy, theatre, cabaret and dance performances as well as industry award shows including the National Indigenous Music Awards and the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards.

Bassinthegrass is Darwin’s biggest annual music festival attracting thousands to enjoy national and international acts, with opportunities for local, upcoming bands to play before a large, lively crowd.

With 39 race days a year, the trackside action at Darwin Turf Club happens all year round highlighted by the five-day Darwin Cup Carnival. The famous Beer Can Regatta is a novel event to look forward to, providing a weekend of fun for the whole family and the chance to perfect boat building skills.

There are numerous festivals held each year showcasing and celebrating cultural diversity organised by Aboriginal, Chinese, Greek, Indian and a multitude of ethnic and community groups. A snapshot of these include: Aboriginal Festivals (Garma and Barunga), Darwin Greek Glenti, Italian Festival, India on Mindil, Harmony Soirée, and Chinese New Year.

Alice Springs is host to some unique events with the Finke Desert Race, Red Centre Nats, Parrtjima Festival of Lights, the Henley on Todd Regatta, Beanie Festival, Desert Mob Cultural Exhibition and the Camel Cup.
